Please uses this section to indicate any special needs that your class will
require.
This includes making the Pennsic Universtity staff aware of
any special sanitary
or cleanup considerations.
Remember, all teachers are responsible for leaving their classroom as clean as they found it, and in time for the next class.
In particular, please note that the use of heat sources in Pennsic University
tents is extremely restricted, and not all tents have electrictiy available.
If you will be using any heat source (propane stove, candles, hot plate, oil lamp, kerosene lantern, torch, electric kiln, propane or butane flame, hand-held hair dryer, etc) in your class for any reason, you are required to list it/them. A University staff member will contact you for details and to ensure safety arrangements. You must have pre-approval for any heat source used in any University tent. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE, primarily due to the condition of the tents. Approval will not be unreasonably withheld, but lack of pre-approval will result in the immediate termination of your class and cancellation of your subsequent classes!
Special Needs in Non-University Venues
Heat sources, water disposal, etc. used in classes held in Private Camps or Merchant Booths
are exempt from this pre-approval.
Teachers are responsible for obtaining approval for heat sources, water disposal, etc.
from the camp or merchant in such cases.
Cultural Affairs does not take responsibility for heat sources, water or other services
used in classes held in non-university venues.
